New Business: Revoke Living Ministries Affiliation
Jamie Holloway contacted Summer D Clemenson via text message and asked if Angel Wing Rescue still wanted to be part of Living Ministries. Summer said she didn’t know. Summer has been concerned because Debra Lawson-Bean doesn’t respond when we encourage necessary actions to become an entity of her own; writing a mission statement, getting proper licensing, writing a handbook for volunteers, making a list of adoptable animals. Summer recently noticed a behavior change that suggested that Debra was wanting to pull away and spoke to Debra about it. At the time Debra said she was praying about remaining an Affiliate Ministry of Living Ministries.
Jamie said that since Debra doesn’t appear to be adopting out any animals that she wasn’t really functioning as a shelter. She made a motion to revoke Living Ministries Affiliation status for Angel Wings Rescue.
When the messages were shared with Karen Gidderon, she agreed that Living Ministries Affiliation status for Angel Wings Rescue should be revoked.
At this time Living Ministries has only 3 Executive Officers and since Karen and Jamie agreed, Summer did not need to break any ties.
Summer also announced that on July 6, 2014 Debra sent a text message that she was resigning as a volunteer of Living Ministries. It was agreed that although, Debra was not a volunteer but a member of our Board of Directors we would accept this as her resignation from the board.
Note: On July 20, 2014 Debra verbally told Karen that she no longer wanted to be affiliated with Living Ministries.
