President Summer Clemenson opened the meeting at 6:10pm. Karen offered the power group welcome. Then Summer asked Debra to offer a prayer.
The 2nd Annual Christmas Angel Telethon !
There was an exciting Christmas Angel Telethon meeting on Wednesday, October 10th at 6pm. At that meeting we all talked about the next steps in planning the telethon. We have great business cards to offer perspective sponsors that explain this big event. This meeting resulted in a new Facebook page for the Christmas Angel Telethon. The event is also on listed at https://rally.org/christmasangeltelethon. This gives perspective donors a chance to make donations on line.
The Christmas Angel Telethon has the following sponsors so far: Exclaim Media, Music and More Productions/Tent City Rentals, Stewart Title, Valley Bugler Newspaper, Cascade Networks and Copies Today/Speedy Litho & Columbia River Reader.
The Christmas Parade!
Carl’s Towing will donate a flatbed truck for Living Ministries to use in the Longview Parade on Dec.01, 2012. Tom and Linda will decorate the truck.
The Christmas Angel Bingo Night!
Tom and Linda are heading up the first Christmas Angel Telethon Bingo Night at The Longview Eagles on 12th Avenue. Saturday, Nov. 10th at 6pm. Flyers will be printed and asked to be displayed at several of the assisted living facilities in the Longview/Kelso area. Bingo winners will receive prizes in leu of monetary prizes. Major thanks to The Longview Eagles for facilitating this event.
The Christmas Angel Garage Sale!
The Christmas Angel Garage Sale took place at The Salvation Army on Saturday, October 20 from 9am-4pm. A good time was had by all and we raised $312.76! Checks were made payable to The Salvation Army and have already been turned in. Cash was deposited in Living Ministries’ Christmas Angel Telethon Savings Account at Fibre Federal Credit Union.
Next Christmas Angel Planning Meeting!
Our next Christmas Angel Planning Meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6pm at The Longview Eagles. This meeting will allow us to see what we have accomplished so far and what the next steps will be on our journey to The Christmas Angel Telethon.
Next Living Ministries Power Meeting will be Nov. 28, 2012
